Get to know the 5 Spider-Man Troops in the Marvel Universe!
With the release of the new trailer Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which featured Spider-Man, more and more fans are now aware that Spidey’s variants in the multiverse are surprisingly diverse. This concept has actually been presented several times in Marvel Comics. For example in popular events Spider-Verse (2014-2015) by Dan Slott, in which Spider-Man forms his own army. As we will discuss this time, namely about the 5 super teams founded by Spider-Man and even the members themselves consist of Marvel spider humans.
Spider-Clan
The first Spider-Man squad is the Spider-Clan from Earth-2301 aka the Mangaverse. In the Marvel manga world, Peter Parker aka Spider-Man is not only told as a superhero, but also as a ninja. Where he is part of a Spider-Clan ninja family that is often in conflict with the Shadow Clan. After Uncle Ben was told dead, as the successor of the family, Spider-Man and Venom began recruiting new members for the Spider-Clan troop. Including Mary Jane Watson, whom they trained themselves to eventually become Spider-Woman.
Scarlet Spiders
Scarlet Spiders is the next Spider-Man troop founded by Dr. Blitzschlag and Hank Pym as the superhero team. The team members themselves consist of Spider-Man-powered super soldiers, such as Michael, Van, and Patrick, who are clones of the late Michael Van Patrick aka Captain America Jr. In every action they always wear the Iron Spider armor that Peter Parker once used Civil War. There are lots of big missions that they have completed, including defeating the Sinister Syndicate which consists of the supervillains Shocker, Boomerang, and Hydro-Man.
Spider-Slayers
Unlike the supervillain Spider Slayer on Earth-616, the Spider-Slayers that exist on Earth-138 are Spider-Man’s army founded by Hobie Brown aka Spider-Punk. Initially Spider-Slayers itself was the name of the Spider-Punk band which he formed to raise the spirit of resistance against the tyranny of President Norman Osborn in his universe. Over time, the band turned into a spider-army consisting of punks and superhumans, such as Captain Anarchy, RiotHeart, Hulk Atom Bomb, Daredevil Drummer, Kamala Khan, and many more.
Spider-Army
As the name implies, the Spider-Army is the super army that was first formed by the Spider-Man variants in the story Spider-Verse. If the previous three armies only existed in their respective universes, this Spider-Army actually travels to various alternative universes to recruit even more members. Including the main Spider-Man, Superior Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Spider-Gwen, Supaidaman, Spider-Man 2099, Spinneret, Silk, Lady Spider, and so on. With their number reaching dozens or even dozens, their goal is to defeat the Inheritors, a family of cannibals who prey on Spider-Man variants in the multiverse.
Galactic Alliance of Spider-Men
If earlier the Spider-Army consisted of dozens of Spider-Man, that number is still nothing when compared to the Galactic Alliance of Spider-Men troops. Its members consist of Spider-Man variants from various galaxies and universes, including Spider-Aliens. The reason why this transgalactic army was formed by Father Spider, the oldest and wisest variant, is because Spider-Man wants to protect the universe as a whole. Their main enemy is the Doctopoids, a nation of soulless machine aliens who master various sciences.
Those are the 5 Spider-Man troops that exist in Marvel Universe. These various troops have indirectly proven that Spider-Man is the Marvel character that gets along best with other variants in the mutiverse. When they meet, it usually always ends up being a special super team or troop. The same thing will probably happen in the movies Across the Spider-Verse future, considering that there are so many variants that appear in one film. We’ll see what the surprise will be, geeks. Film Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse itself is planned to be broadcast on June 2, 2023.
