5 Ways to Display FPS on PC / Laptop (All Games)

How to Show FPS on PC

How to display fps on PC is very easy to know the ability of the device to render video games. The higher the specifications of a PC device, the higher the fps that will be generated.

When watching some game reviews on YouTube, of course we often see that there are several indicators that appear on the screen including FPS, Render Speed, Temperature, GPU and various other indicators that are usually on the top left of the monitor screen.

Because with some of these indicators, we can find out how far our device is in playing games whether it can be called smooth or not. But unfortunately most of us definitely don’t know how to display fps and these indicators on a pc.

But before getting to the core of the topic, we should first find out what fps means and what it’s used for.

What is FPS?

FPS (Frames per Second) is an indicator to display the number of frames per second. For example, in a video or game that has a speed of 60 fps, the game displays 60 frames in one second. The faster (higher) a fps, the smoother the movement of a game or video.

And this indicator is often used by gamers to find out whether a game is lag or smooth. A game can usually be said to be smooth if it has a minimum fps of 30, we can find this on Playstation 4 devices that lock the fps at 30 frames per second.

But according to my own experience, so that the game can be played well is at a speed of 60 fps. With this speed, the game is easy to play with smooth and not broken.

However, for competency classes such as E-Sport Athletes, the fps used is very high. It’s no wonder that players use high-spec PCs with special gaming monitors that produce optimal fps up to 240 fps.

While FPS in the game genre also has another meaning. Sometimes we find some FPS (First Person Shooter) genre games which are games with a first-person perspective such as PUBG games, Call of Duty, CS Go, Point Blank, Battlefield and the like.

So don’t get me wrong in understanding fps.
