Why Do Lecturers Like to Make Things Difficult for Students?
Why do lecturers like to make things difficult for students? – I want to talk a little about this, a disclaimer first if you don’t have any intention of badmouthing the lecturer in question hehe, just purely to share notes on the story. See why lecturers like to make things difficult for students. At first I thought it was only a small number of lecturers in Indonesia, but after I experienced it myself, I realized that it was “real” haha.
In the last two weeks I have experienced a situation where I am disappointed, it’s been 7 semesters before I feel disappointed with the system and the lecturers’ “behavior” which makes things difficult for their students. Where is the chronology, this semester I took a proposal seminar for my final assignment, now the report is finished, all I have to do is ask for validation, where if you do the math, this validation doesn’t take more than 5 minutes, it should be finished (if the lecturer is efficient), but here it is even more difficult. It took more than 1 week for ACC to receive the last minute to register for the seminar exam, haha, it was really cool.
But it’s okay, as long as you don’t repeat taking this seminar course, you can forget about this incident.
Why Do Lecturers Like to Make Things Difficult for Students?
Based on the incident above, here let’s discuss the points why some lecturers sometimes like to make things difficult for their students, even though the students have tried diligently to complete their studies. It’s different if the student really likes to procrastinate, maybe it’s a bit natural that things will get difficult for him. uh just kidding.
1. The lecturer’s mood is bad
Well, it could be that when we ask the lecturer for help, at that time the lecturer’s mood is bad, maybe he’s tired, he has a lot of work on campus or outside the campus, or other things, so that his students take out too much. It’s normal for this to happen, in fact, sometimes when we’re in a bad mood, we like to get angry or irritated and make it clear to other people who don’t even have anything to do with the problem we’re facing at the moment.
Yes, the solution may be that we just give in today, while following up at a later date.
2. Crazy Respect
Sometimes there are lecturers who are disrespectful, make students bully them, and like to make things difficult for students, but there are not many cases like this, but still, if you meet a typical lecturer like this, your mental state will drop and your enthusiasm for studying will decrease.
3. The deadline is still long
Sometimes it’s not entirely because the lecturer is making things difficult for the students, maybe in the case of working on a report or final assignment, the lecturer knows that the deadline is still long, so he doesn’t want to rush to accept the assignments of the students under his guidance.
Closing
So, those are some of the reasons why lecturers like to make things difficult for their students. Have you also had lecturers who typically make things difficult or annoying? If so, just be patient, take deep breaths often hihi.
