5. Highschool of the Dead
This horror anime series is very popular with zombie terror fans. This anime aired on July 5—September 20, 2010. The zombie formula in this anime is very popular with fans. In this anime, high school students are overwhelmed by the start of a zombie apocalypse.
This anime is set in the present, with the outbreak of a deadly pandemic that turns humans into zombies. Although this series is quite liked, but until now there has been no announcement of plans for its 2nd season.
6. Another
Another is an anime series based on a mystery horror novel by Yukito Ayatsuji and adapted into an anime by PA Works and has 12 episodes.

7. Wotakoi
Wotakoi is based on the Japanese webmanga series by Fujita. A-1 Pictures adapted the series into an anime and aired May—June 2022 for 11 episodes.
The series revolves around Momose Narumi, a geeky yaoi fangirl. She recently changed jobs in hopes of playing the role of a beautiful and perfect young woman. Instead, he meets his former middle school classmate, Nifuji Hirotaka, a game maniac who knows his secret.
8. Deadman Wonderland
Deadman Wonderland is about Ganta Igarashi. He is one of the survivors of the devastating earthquake that nearly destroyed all of Tokyo. Ganta does not remember the events that occurred during the earthquake. However, everything changed after he met the “Red Man”.
The plot of this series is enough to make the audience flutter. This anime has 12 episodes and an OVA. The anime premiered in 2011 and more than 10 years later there is no word on a possible 2nd season.
9. Hyouka
Hyouka is an anime series based on a novel by Honobu Yonezawa. The novel was adapted into an anime consisting of 22 episodes and one live-action film. This anime was released in 2001 ago and is still loved today.
This anime tells the story of Oreki Hotaru who joins the Literature Club at his school to prevent the club from being closed. Despite being popular, Hyouka never got another season. As a result, this series is also included in the list of anime that did not get a new season.
10. Yona of the Dawn
This anime was adapted from the manga of the same name by studio Pierrot and has a total of 24 episodes. This anime aired on October 7, 2014—May 24, 2015. This anime revolves around Yona, the princess of the Kouka Kingdom. After his father is killed, he is chased out of the palace with his bodyguard, Son Hak.
