Abandoned Manga and Anime Author Dies Before End

Mangaka, the term for the author or manga author, plays an important role in determining the storyline of a manga. Therefore, mangaka’s health is very important to stay awake. However, because the process of making manga and turning it into an animation requires extra hard work and enormous effort, they often force themselves to fall ill or even die before their manga and anime are finished.
Cases like that have happened and happened to a number of manga and anime that are currently popular. Then, what manga and anime were left by the author to die before the story was finished?
1. Kentaro Miura — Berserk
The story in this manga centers on the main character, Guts, who is a lone mercenary. He is assigned to fight Griffith, the leader of a mercenary group called the Eagle Band. Kentaro Miura wrote the manga since the late 1980s and in the 1990s, it was adapted into an anime.
Unfortunately, Berserk’s story never reached its end because on May 6, 2022, Miura passed away. Miura’s death is due to the health and well-being of the manga writer in the midst of a tight deadline.
2. Yoshito Usui — Crayon Shin-Chan
Crayon Shin-Chan is a series with the main character of children, but it is not suitable for children because the theme is sometimes too vulgar. The series centers on the daily life of the main character, Shinosuke Nobara aka Shin-Chan, a boy who is only 5 years old.
Unfortunately, Shin-Chan’s story never ended because the writer, Yoshito Usui, died after falling into a ravine in 2009 while Usui was hiking in the Arafune Mountains. This series was never finished.
3. Yuki Shinkiba — Shindere Shoujo to Kodoku na Shinigami
The series centers on the story of Akira, a 2nd year middle school student. His days change after the presence of a mysterious transfer student named Matsushiro Nishigami who says that anyone close to him will die.
The series went on hiatus immediately after reaching chapter 20 and was published on May 29, 2013 due to the author, Yuki Shinkiba, sick. However, the series was never resumed after on June 17, 2015, Himura died of cancer. The final volume of the series was finally only published digitally on September 24 of the same year.
4. Fujiko F Fujio — Doraemon
Doraemon is an anime series that is very popular in Asia. This manga and anime belongs to the Kodomomuke genre and is very popular with children. Even the Doraemon character has also been made into different product forms and is selling well in the market. This character was created by Fujiko F Fujio.
Doraemon tells the story of a robot cat from the 22nd century who was sent to the past where Nobita was a child who was the ancestor of the creator of this adorable robot. Doraemon is assigned to help Nobita to achieve success.
Unfortunately, Fujio died before giving the conclusion of the story he wrote on September 23, 1996 due to impaired liver function.
