Verizon Provides Free Internet to Los Angeles Students

Just like school students in our country, school students in Los Angeles, USA are now using the internet a lot for their teaching and learning purposes.

Unfortunately in recent times, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all schools have been closed automatically and students have to study from home using their own internet connection.

The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is no exception in Los Angeles, California, USA. But of course, because they use the internet themselves, as a result they (their family) have to pay the monthly bill which is quite expensive.

Also, students and teachers can continue to study as usual even though it is only done from their respective living rooms. And most importantly, they don’t have to worry about connections slow and limited by quota.

It is undeniable that the steps taken by Verizon are exemplary, especially in these crucial times. The question now, is provider our internet in Indonesia will, or even, already do something similar?

Wellas reported by Bisnis.com, provider top, Telkom, since 1 week ago has imposed a quota-free data access for students using Telkomsel as much as 30 GB.

In addition, for students who just want to subscribe to the internet at home (PC), apart from being given a special and crazy price, the first month is free of charge. Not quite there, Telkom will provide additional quota of up to 50 GB. WOW it’s not good, what’s that?

And the new policy can still continue into the future. Anyway, until all conditions are really conducive again. Now, what do you think about this news?
