Sony Develops Air Conditioning That Can Be Attached to the Body

Given the level of heat that occurs during the summer is higher, Sony was inspired to develop an air conditioner (AC) as an air conditioner that can be attached to the body, aka wearable.

This giant technology company from Japan held crowdfunding or support suggestions in the development of Reon Pocket. This tool is a wearable gadget that can be used like an air conditioner by the user and can be taken anywhere to overcome the heat.

As Dafunda Tekno quoted from Ubergizmo, by utilizing the Peltier effect, Reon Pocket can be placed in a specially designed garment pocket. The pouch is placed at the back of the neck. Then this tool will function to cool the user’s body. It can even normalize the temperature so that users are comfortable when using it.

The Peltier effect itself is when two dissimilar metals are put together and there is an electric current that is channeled it will pump heat (heat). From this principle it is used as a thermoelectric as a coolant / heat pump.

In addition, the temperature can also be set manually via the mobile application, then there is also an automatic mode that can be used. In terms of charging, Sony said the wearable gadget, which is still being developed, can last up to 24 hours on a single charge. If you want to run out of power, that’s enough charging for two hours with a USB-C port connection.

But unfortunately this wearable gadget will only be available in Japan, and is rumored to be marketed from March next year at a price of Rp. 1.6 million. There is no information on whether Sony will release it elsewhere or not.
