Operators Do This To Anticipate If The Electricity Again Goes Out

The power outage that occurred yesterday became a serious obstacle for the three major cellular operators in Indonesia. The three cellular operators are Telkomsel, XL Axiata, and Indosat Ooredoo. However, they admitted that they would be more alert in the event of a long-term power outage.

Cellular operators also felt the impact of a half-day blackout. So that customers cannot use telecommunications services as usual, whether it’s SMS, telephone, to the internet, there is also no connection.

“Mobile power to provide operational supplies for BTS (Base Transceiver Station) has been prepared at several points. Then it has also been coordinated with PLN, will provide information if there are locations where there are rotating blackouts,” said Singue Kilatmaka, Telkomsel Media Relations Manager.

XL Axiata also took the same step. As conveyed by the XL Axiata Corporate Communication Group Tri Wahyuningsih, several anticipations were also made by the operator, which is identical to the blue color.

“One of the most important things is by providing a backup battery to provide power for up to four hours, we have also provided generator mobilization to BTS in all affected areas,” he said.
