Microsoft Introduces Windows 1.0 Again, Are You Serious?
The version of Windows available to date is based on the version of Windows 1.0 which has been released decades ago since 1985.
But recently, through the Twitter account @windows, Microsoft has re-introduced the first version of Windows. They even promote it as if it were something new.
The tweet reads “Introducing, Windows 1.0 with everything new, and comes with MS-DOS Executive, Clock, and much more”
Along with the tweet, accompanied by a video. In the video, the Windows logo is displayed sequentially starting from the newest, Windows 10 to the Windows 1.0 logo.
After a few days the tweet was uploaded, Microsoft then spoke up. Says Windows 1.0 can be owned by its users who are interested in having it.
“Be a part of the revolution and have your Windows 1.0 OS today”, tweeted @windows.
But there is no clear information whether Microsoft really wants to re-release Windows 1.0 as old stuff into new or not.
Seriously or just kidding Microsoft Launches Windows 1.0?
Seeing the behavior of Microsoft itself makes netizens confused and raises many question marks, especially for technology observers.
If it’s really going to be launched, then Microsoft will make Windows 1.0 become open source software such as MS-DOS and the Calculator application.
In the sense that the developers will later contribute to the development of Windows 1.0 in the future.
On the other hand, it could be that Microsoft wants to make a joke. Please respond to the TV series Stranger Things made by Netflix.
