Careful! The Update Application from Samsung is Fake

The appearance of the application that is not made by Samsung is indeed quite convincing. Until now there have been 10 million Android users who have been tricked into downloading it.
One of the analysts malware CSIS Security Group Aleksejs Kurprins has investigated the behavior of the highly suspicious application. Then he shared his findings into a article.
In the article he revealed that actually this Update for Samsung has offered various dubious things to every victim, ranging from services “unlock“SIM card worth 20 US dollars or so IDR 289,000 until “firmware update“at a price of 35 US dollars or around Rp 439,000.
Strangely again, payments are not made through the official GooglePlay channel. But just by entering a credit number, this made his suspicions even greater.
Kuprins also added, “Update for Samsung does not seem to provide the slightest benefit to its users but only drains the wallet.”
As Dafunda Tekno quoted from ZD NetKuprins immediately contacted Google to report the existence of a fraudulent application on the PlayStore and asked to be removed immediately.
According to him, even though this application is not in the form of malware directly, but this action is considered dangerous for the victim’s device. The application is indicated to be trying to commit fraud or scam.
However, after Dafunda Tekno monitors it directly on the Google Play Store, this Update for Samsung is no longer available.
