Beware of Fraud Mode In the Name of Gojek Is On The Rise!
The fraud mode has now penetrated into the digital world, this time there was a fraud case with the online motorcycle taxi application, Go-Jek. The method is to break into Go-jek accounts that have Gopay balances by gaining access through the user’s OTP verification.
This case spread after the conversation on Whatsapp spread. Initially, the perpetrator called the victim and claimed to be a Gojek employee. Then the perpetrator asked about his Go-jek account and also asked how long he had been using Gopay.
Well, then the perpetrator asked for verification of the OTP (One Time Password) or the password sent by Gojek via SMS. After providing the verification code to the perpetrator, the victim’s Gopay balance was sold out. As a result of the fraud, the victim had to suffer a loss of Rp. 10 million.
Gojek urges the public not to share the verification code with anyone

Gojek Senior Manager Corporate Affairs Alvita Chen appealed to users not to arbitrarily verify the OTP code to anyone, even to parties claiming to be from the Gojek Company.
This Gojek senior manager also asked users who encountered similar cases to immediately contact Gojek CS at phone number 021-50251110 or via email. [email protected]
Characteristics that are easily recognizable if you are called by a fraud on behalf of Gojek are long-winded to ask for information about potential victims, the mode is lured with gifts, in the end asking for a Verification Code and if not given they will insist on asking for a verification code.
