Tips for Maximizing Website Performance in Google Search Console

There are many ways to always have the website appear in the SERP first and not only does this happen on the website but the webmaster’s tools also need to be properly improved, such as adding a sitemap, in fact, this needs to be properly checked as well be so that Google can index for a specific page every few days. So there are still a lot of websites out there that don’t care about this sitemap, while entering the correct sitemap is one way to get good results on Google. Actually, not only the sitemap is taken into account, but also other things like the content have to be seen, how good it is to get the first order in the Google search.
There are so many search engines out there, and from the past to the present day, Google has been the only popular one. Perhaps because of its attractive features and always new things that enable users to always feel at home, as well as a clear and problem-free search display with access under all network and device conditions. Google has an algorithm that is always updated and when it is updated there are always websites that go away due to spam, that is Google guidelines then and nowI myself have also seen a website get penalized 2 times on a blog for bluntly displaying a search url.
Google has special area for website owners which was called Webmaster Tools, but has now changed its name to Search console, by the way. There are some differences and improvements that are much better than before, and now users can tune as much as possible to produce the main sequence of the appropriate written keywords. Currently, plugins for WordPress users are constantly being updated to improve performance and of course for website users using a homemade CMS, it also needs to be mimicked by a WordPress SEO plugin to get solid results. One of the plugins I am currently using is Yoast and it has proven to be great. But even though you are using a plugin, it still seems to be missing if you stop setting in Search Console. Here are some things you need to do to get great results on the SERPs.
- Add all subdomains – It is a good idea to have multiple subdomains on your website and make sure that these subdomains are not considered spam because they have the same IP or have duplicate content. If so, it would be even better to add https.
- Choosing a destination country – The Search Console already has this feature that visitors can use to locate specific destinations. If the blog is in Indonesian it is better to select it as Indonesian as it is easy to find by Indonesian users, no need to worry about external visitors as this feature is for better location for Indonesian users and external visitors are not Prevent visitors.
- Send sitemap – The installation of a sitemap in the Search Console is mandatory for website owners, as it can increase the page index quickly and is certainly not too late and according to the time set on the sitemap. If you do not know how to use a sitemap, please use the help of Attrakta to create a sitemap easily and practically.
- Select website version – Please select the currently used version of the website with www or not www so that Google can restrict the type of URL used. We recommend using it without www first so if the site gets a penalty you can try adding www. This is usually used to outsmart Google due to the deindex penalty.
- Fix url errors – So that Google can still index the URL correctly, you should always fix the error URL once a week as listed, but if it is not an error, please mark it as fixed (Mark as fix).
- Use the manual crawl function – Each month, 500 are given to users for free to manually crawl. Please use this feature on articles that are going back in the SERPs and my advice is not to create more than 10 urls per day, only 5 is enough.
- HTML improvements – This feature is located in the Search Display section of the Search Console, which is used to see errors in the HTML code, for example from the content section to the meta, which is always taken into account, so Google’s advice is also to use the meta Not to lose description because it can remove the site from the previous order to become more degenerate.
It looks like a lot, but if done quickly it will take little time depending on the state of the website in Search Console. I suggest starting from the top down and what needs to be of the target visitor you should choose the real one. don’t choose the country freely, you will of course lose if the article is in Indonesian selected US will definitely decline. I am targeting Indonesian visitors now and sometimes there are overseas visitors, either from a proxy, but by setting this up, I think it doesn’t reduce visitors, it increases them more.
Arrange robots.txt must also be true, e.g. B. prevent admin pages and other private pages from being displayed on Google. And certain articles that are out of date / old are for example some kind of application or software update that have a new version, so it would be better if the article was moved to a new article for more than 2 years. And for the forwarding method Use HTTP 301 to completely remove old articles from search engineswhile using 404 it will show up on the problematic page. There are maybe more options than above, however If you have a better way, please share in the comments. ️
Hopefully useful and good luck
