Solution to overcome can't go to sleep mode on PC

Sleep mode on a PC has almost the same functionality as hibernation, but the difference is that users don’t have to restart the computer from scratch. So this is the same as using the lock screen feature on the mobile phone.

Quite task or the current program can be continued. And when a laptop goes into sleep mode, the device runs at a minimum and consumes little battery power.

Usually the PC will automatically go into sleep mode when the system encounters an error idle or no activity for a slightly longer period of time. But there are times when there are PCs that cannot switch to sleep mode. And there has to be a reason.

Overcoming the PC can not go into sleep mode

Some of the steps shared here will allow you to return to normal sleep mode. Now, if your computer or laptop is having a similar problem, try some of these ways starting with the first.

1. Change the settings in the power options

  1. Click START / Search and enter Edit power plan, then ENTER.

  2. Then click on the menu Change advanced power settings.

  3. Double-click in the dialog that appears Multimedia settings.

  4. And in the section When sharing media, set as Let the computer sleep.

Change the settings in the power options

  5. The final step, click the button OK.

The simple conclusion from the above method is to make sure that the problem is not being caused by multimedia. So if the device sometimes goes into sleep mode, it immediately comes back to life. This is due to the media that are still playing, such as music and videos.

2. Set the mouse sensitivity

This solution is more about mouse sensitivity. Because sometimes, when the mouse is moved, the device switches on immediately, even though it is in sleep mode.

  1. Click START / Search and enter Device manager, then ENTER.

  2. Double click on the menu Mice and other pointing devices.

  3. Right-click the mouse driver you are currently using and select Options properties.

  4. Then go to the tab Power management.

  5. Do not enable the option Allow this device to reactivate the computer.

Adjust the mouse sensitivity to allow the computer to go to sleep

  6. The final step, click the button OK.

3. Set the network adapter

This third method is actually almost the same as the one above, which only requires changing the driver settings. So what is causing the PC not to go into sleep mode is that the device is connected to the internet.

Please enter the device manager as described above. Then double click on that Network adapter. Then select the adapter that you will use to connect to the Internet.

Right click on the driver and select properties. And go to the tab Power management and disable the option Allow this device to reactivate the computer. Keep clicking the OK button.

Troubleshooting PC does not go into sleep mode

Very similar to the second way, right? Just different kinds of drivers while the method is the same. And has this problem with the sleep mode been fixed so far? However, if it still does not, please write all the details of the problem in the comments column for the appropriate solution.

Hopefully useful and good luck
