2 ways to manually install extensions in Chrome
The purpose of an extension is to add functionality to the browser so that users can do more than the functionality provided by the browser. The extension contains only Javascript code or essentially the same as Tampermonkey.
Tampermonkey itself is also an extension that has a function to create extensions, quite strange, but hopefully users can understand what I said before. Creating your own add-ons is easy if you already understand what HTML and Javascript code is.
Meanwhile, users can learn too unzip the CRX file extension. But can the code still be used as an add-on for the browser after unpacking the code? Of course you can and here I am going to introduce two ways to install extensions in the Chrome browser.
1. Obtain and install files from extensions
The CRX format is actually just an ordinary archive and can be opened with the WinRar program and the user can easily change the format to POSTAL CODE. And to get the CRX file is not easy if you do it manually, but it can be done easily with the help of other websites.

If the CRX file is successfully downloaded, the next step is easy to do drag and drop the file in the Chrome browser. If they don’t understand, users can just drag the file into Chrome and they’ll see a notification to install new add-ons.
2. Uninstall the extension and install it in Chrome
This method is only intended for users who want to know the depth of the extension. The user is free to change everything and can then reinstall it in the browser. To do this, however, the user must activate Developer mode.
The Developer Mode option can be used to add add-ons from a selected folder and collect any errors so that they can be corrected later. And I think users already know how to decompose an extension, so just change the format to POSTAL CODE and then extracted.
After extracting, follow the steps below to add the add-on.
Go to the Extensions section of the Chrome browser. Press the button with the name Load the unpacked extension.
Next, select the directory where the user saved the extracted CRX file.
After selecting the correct directory, the extension will automatically be installed successfully.
It’s that simple, isn’t it? This second method makes it easier for users to switch extensions because they can see the results immediately after pressing the button Reload what’s below.

Use either the first or second method, it all depends on your later use. If the user wants to change the internals of the extension, it is better to use the second method, and if you just want to install it, use the first method.

And one more thing: If, for privacy reasons, users do not want too many permissions for an extension, we recommend the second method. There, the user can specify which permissions the extension has in a file named manifest.json
