This is Henry Cavill's Superman Substitute in DCU!
Not long ago, bad news came from actor Henry Cavill who stated that he would not return as Superman in the DC Universe. Many felt that Cavill’s statement was “like a thunderbolt in broad daylight” which made many people sad and at the same time wondered about the fate of Superman’s character. To answer that, shortly after Cavill’s statement, the new CEO of DC Studios James Gunn said that he would soon be announcing new DCU projects, one of which would present an entirely new Superman story.
What is happening now is actually a continuation of a major event in the history of Warner Bros. and DC Studios looking to completely overhaul the DC Extended Universe. Starting from appointing James Gunn and Peter Safran as the new CEO of DC Studios, canceling a number of projects, to changing the name of the cinema universe to DCU. Cavill’s latest statement is the latest impact from the DCU revamp, which saw his character appear in the Black Adam credit scene professionally canceled by both parties.
Now, based on James Gunn’s recent announcement on the account Twitter Personally, it’s been revealed that various new DCU projects will be announced early next year. “Peter [Safran] and I already have a list [proyek] DC that is ready to use and of course very attractive to us. We will be sharing some interesting tidbits about our first project at the start of the new year.” Gunn wrote.
In his follow-up tweet, Gunn also wrote that his project would present a young Superman in DCU. “One of which is [film] Superman. In the early stages, our story will focus on the early part of Superman’s life [muda]so that character will not be played by Henry Cavill,” Gunn added.
Along with this announcement, Variety also reported that the plot for the Superman reboot would follow a young Clark Kent’s journey as an amateur reporter in Metropolis City. Where later he will meet several important characters in his life, one of which is Lois Lane.
Even though the Superman reboot project and plot leaks have been revealed, unfortunately for now it is still unknown which actor will play the young Superman in the DCU later. In your opinion, who is the most suitable young actor to replace Henry Cavill, Geeks? We’ll see what the developments are like, because sooner or later our curiosity will surely be answered by DC Studios.
