First Tournament! Hyper Front Elite Cup SEA Division Has Entered Final Round
NetEase Games, the online games division of NetEase, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTES, HKEX: 9999) announced that the final round for SEA Division in esports tournament Elite Cup first for Hyper Front will take place on 27 and 28 September where players from Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia will battle it out for the grand prize from the combined USD 50,000 prize pool, and be crowned the first in their region. The players can watch the final SEA Division Elite Cup directly at Taman Anggrek Mall Jakarta or via online on YouTube or Facebook channels.
Hyper Front is a competitive 5v5 FPS mobile game, where intense PvP battles are played across six game modes. In battle, players will use characters or heroes with various roles, each of which is equipped with special abilities and unique positions that make it different. Like most shooter games, the winner will be based on who manages to defeat the enemy and activate/tame the star core.
Battles on Hyper Front consist of challenging gameplay, determined based on who has the most accurate aim. Hyper Front officially launched on September 20 and has become the most popular first-person shooter (FPS) game in the SEA region, having topped the download charts in several countries.
The Hyper Front Elite Cup tournament kicks off on September 30, with the Americas Division and SEA Division each having a prize pool of USD 50,000. This is the first professional invitational esports tournament for Hyper Front, and the assembled teams have competed in the early stages of the tournament. The SEA Division begins with a group stage where the teams will be randomly distributed into 4 groups, then the top two teams from each group will advance to the Knockout round, which ends in a single elimination tournament. In the Hyper Front Elite Cup, each team must win 8 rounds to win one point, and a 7:7 draw will result in extra time because there must be a difference of 2 points for the team to be determined as the winner.
The Elite Cup SEA Division will feature professional teams from Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia. The list of teams includes Dunia Games, Demigods Esports, UTG International, The Infinity, Geek Fam, Smart Omega, RSG PH, Bren Esports, VOIN SBO, TEM Entertainment, KHI Esports, and HomeBois.
The Americas Division finals have ended with Furious Gaming defeating 9Z in an intense match to become the Americas region champions of the inaugural Hyper Front Elite Cup. The SEA Division Final will be held offline at Taman Anggrek Mall Jakarta on 27 and 28 September, at 14.00 WIB. This offline match will consist of two stages, namely the semifinal and final. The four teams that will compete in the final round of the SEA Division are UTG International, Geek Fam, Demigods Esports, and Smart Omega.
Along with the final match of the Hyper Front Elite Cup SEA Division, the event offline it will also host a variety of activities for visitors to take part in, with cosplay shows and opportunities for new players to try Hyper Front.
