Teams & Schedule LoL Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2022 Rumble Stage: 3 Perfect Teams!
The group stage of the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2022 has ended. Of the total 11 participating teams, only six remained in the tournament.
These six teams will now proceed to the next phase of the tournament, which is called the Rumble Stage. In the Rumble Stage, 6 teams will play a double round-robin best-of-one where the best 4 teams will enter the playoffs.
MSI 2022 Group Stage Results
From Group A, T1 and Saigon Buffalo were the two teams that qualified for the Rumble Stage. In Group B, RNG (Royal Never Give Up) and PSG Talon already passed. From Group C, G2 Esports and Evil Geniuses managed to advance to the next round.
Among all the teams, T1, G2 Esports and RNG are unbeatable. So it will be interesting to see how these three teams perform on the Rumble Stage.
Entering MSI 2022, it is clear that T1, G2 Esports Europe, and RNG LPL from Korea are the three teams competing to become champions. The Group Stage shows why they are the favorites as all three teams managed to get out of their respective groups without losing a single game.
The other 3 teams are, Evil Geniuses, Saigon Buffalo and PSG Talon. Among the three, the highest expectations may be from Evil Geniuses, but considering how Saigon Buffalo has performed, things can change during the Rumble Stage.
MSI record 2022
2022 MSI was the first season in which many teams got a perfect record in the group stage. Previously, only two other teams in history (SK Telecom T1 in 2015 and RNG in 2021) had a perfect record in the MSI group stage.
Even though they dropped individual games played during the LCK Spring Split series, T1 have yet to lose. T1’s current record is 26-0.
When Does the Rumble Stage Start?
The MSI 2022 Rumble Stage will take place from May 20 to May 24. There will be 6 matches per day. Each team will play with each other 2 times and the best 4 teams will enter the next round, namely the playoffs stage.
