Revenue slumps, Doctor Strange 2 continues to dominate the American box office
Doctor Strange 2 still occupies the first position at the American box office, even though the revenue from the film fell drastically in its second week. Even though it’s only the second week, guys, but how come the income has dropped drastically, right?
Yep, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is still the most watched film since it was first released in early May. In its first week, the film directed by Sam Raimi managed to earn revenues of US $ 187 million in the United States and globally has earned more than US $ 507.8 million.
Unfortunately, Doctor Strange 2’s revenue in the second week suddenly dropped drastically, guys. This has resulted in his position at the American Box Office being threatened with being evicted by several films under it.
Entering the Second Week, Doctor Strange 2’s Revenue at the American Box Office Drops Drastically
Recently, AFP reports the total earnings of several Hollywood hits currently showing in theaters around the world. From the report, there is a fact that Doctor Strange 2 has experienced a very significant decline in revenue.

In America, Doctor Strange 2, which in its first week managed to earn US$ 187 million, is now only able to generate around US$ 61 million (Rp 891 billion).
After 16 days of showing, the film has successfully collected US$ 292 million (Rp 4.3 trillion) in America and US$ 396 million (Rp 5.7 trillion) in foreign markets. Globally, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has earned US$ 688 million.
In second place at the American box office, there is a film called The Bad Guys which earned US$ 6.9 million (Rp 100.8 billion) in the Friday-Sunday period. This animated film, directed by DreamWorks Animation, features Sam Rockwell, Awkwafina, and Anthony Ramos to provide voices for the characters in it.
The third position is still occupied by Sonic the Hedgehog 2, which earned US $ 4.6 million (Rp 67 billion) after its release on April 8, 2022. Fourth, there is a film which is a remake of the film with the same title by Stephen King in 1984, namely Firestarter.

The film, starring Zac Efron, managed to occupy the fourth position after winning a revenue of US$ 3.8 million (Rp 5.5 billion).
