Pithecanthropus Soloensis

Pithecanthropus Soloensis – The pre-literate period or ancient times is an era that does not know writing. Pithecanthropus’ face was still slightly ape-shaped and had not yet passed on to modern humans. The scientists who managed to find this fossil were Oppenoort, Ter Harr, and GHR Koenigswald in the Ngandong area, Sangiran, Central Java Province.

There are three types of pithecanthropus namely Pithecantropus Soloensis, Pithecantropus Erectus and Pithecantropus Mojokertensis.

These three ancient humans had the same general body shape. However, this Pithecanthropus is categorized better than Pithecanthropus Erestus and Pithecanthropus Mojokertensis.

Pithecanthropus became one of the ancient humans that was different from the others because this human ate hard game, the molars were very large, had a bangir count but did not have a chin bone, a brain volume of 750-1350 cc which was located as wide as a wide temple with a body tall, large, sturdy about 165-180 cm.

This ancient human became the strongest human of his time because of the molars that other types of early humans did not have.

At that time, Pithecantropus Soloensis still resided in a nomadic nature or could be called a nomadic life if the place where they were living did not have food stocks anymore.

Usually, Pithecantropus lives in caves on the coast and leaves food traces in the form of animal bones whose fossils can still be found today, such as caves on the coast in Solo which are in museums.

But these ancient creatures did not live as long as other early humans due to populations that did not reproduce regularly. The customs that are now upheld are the habits and ways of thinking of our ancestors, namely pre-literate humans.
