- Setting a PIN
When setting up the Signal application, you also have to add a 4-digit PIN. However, the function of this PIN is not to lock the application but is intended to implement 2-factor Authentication and become an additional application from Signal.
If you have updated, Signal will also require users to set a PIN intended for reinstallation, personal identity verification, and backup restore.
The trick is to tap Profile Icon first, which is located in the upper left corner then open it Privacy return. After that scroll to the bottom and you can start activating Registration Lock.
Every time you will reinstall this application, you will be asked to write down the PIN that was created.
