What is a Kemendikbud Quota?

The aid quota from the government has been given since September 2022. This program lasts for 3 months until December 2022. At that time, the government provided an aid quota with the following conditions.

  • Students at the Early Childhood Education (PAUD) level receive a quota of 20 GB (15 GB of study quota and 5 GB of regular quota).
  • Students at primary and secondary education levels including elementary, junior high, and high school equivalents receive a quota of 42 GB (37 GB of study quota and 5 GB of regular quota).
  • Educators at the PAUD, primary, and secondary education levels receive a quota of 42 GB (37 GB of study quota and 5 GB of regular quota).
  • Lecturers and students get quota assistance of 50 GB (45 GB study quota and 5 GB main quota).

The distribution of quota assistance will resume in May 2022 but with different conditions. The quota given has a smaller amount.

However, the quota is completely regular quota which can be used to access any site except those that are blocked by the government.

The aid quota also cannot be used to access social media such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Tiktok.

However, this quota can still be used to access Youtube. The following is a breakdown of the 2022 Ministry of Education and Culture quota distribution.

  • Students at the PAUD level get an internet quota of 7 GB per month.
  • Elementary, junior high, and high school students and equivalent receive 10 GB of assistance per month.
  • Educators at the PAUD, SD, SMP, and equivalent levels get 12 GB of quota assistance per month.
  • Lecturers and students get a quota of 15 GB per month.

There is no special way to use the assistance internet package from the Ministry of Education and Culture. You can use the quota as usual. Activate the mobile data connection then open the required app or site.

You can also use the quota to connect to a laptop via a hotspot. The method is as follows:

  1. First, make sure the cellular data on your phone is on.
  2. Click on the settings menu or Settings.
  3. Select menu Network & Internet.
  4. Click Hotspot & Tethering then select Wi-Fi Hotspot.
  5. Set name and password as you wish. After it click toggle to activate.
  6. On a laptop, you can click network icon on the taskbar. Choose Wi-Fi name which was made earlier enter password.
