This Collaboration Post feature can be used if you want to upload photos in your feeds and tag your friends so that the posts become shared property. You can upload both photos and videos through the Collaboration Post feature.
When a user you invite to share a post agrees to become a collaborator, that post will appear in each Collaborator’s feed. You can invite more than one person to be a collaborator.
How to Make a Collaboration Post on Instagram
If you are interested in using the Collaboration Post feature, then you should know how to use it.
Here’s how to create a Collaboration Post on Instagram:
- Open the Instagram application and log into the account you will use to upload the post.
- Click the Add menu on the + icon on the home menu.
- Select the Post menu with the checkered icon.
- If you are already on the New Post page, you can choose which photos or videos to upload.
- Click the Next button with an arrow icon to the right after you are sure of the choice of photos to upload.
- Select the effect to use if needed. Click next to continue
- On the Finishing page, click the Tag People menu.
- Select the Invite Collaborator tab and search for which users you would like to invite to become collaborators.
- Click OK in the upper right corner.
- Set caption, location and other options before uploading.
- Click OK in the top right corner to upload the post.
You now have a Collaboration Post post. You just have to wait for the collaborator invitation to be accepted by other users.
How to Approve a Collaboration Post
To become a collaborator, you must agree to the Collaboration Post menu. The method is very easy, you will get a notification that you have been asked to be a collaborator on a particular post. Click the review menu on the post. Click Accept when a pop up notification appears that says Accept Invite.
If you have done this step, the post will also appear on your profile. You and other collaborators can see Insights from the post.
Keep in mind that posts can only be deleted by the post creator. You as a collaborator do not have the authority to delete the post if needed.
The reason why the Collaboration Post menu can’t be used
Some users say that they cannot use the Collaboration Post feature on their Instagram. There are two possible reasons for this to happen.
First, Instagram servers are down. You just have to wait until the server returns to normal for this problem.
The second reason is that you haven’t updated the Instagram app to the latest one. Please visit the Google Play Store or App Store to update the Instagram application.
