Using Commands on the Start Menu

The first way you can try to connect a bluetooth speaker to a Windows 7 laptop is to use the command via the Start menu.

This method is fairly easy, but it must also be done carefully so that there are no mistakes that can result in failure.

Immediately, here are the steps you need to do to connect bluetooth speakers to a laptop:

  1. First, click the Start Menu with the Windows logo on the bottom left of your laptop screen.
  2. After that, click on the magnifying glass icon to open the Search menu.
  3. In the Search menu, you need to type a command in the form of “devicepairingwizard”.
  4. If it is confirmed that the command written is correct, then press the “Enter” key on the keyboard.
  5. Later Windows will perform the scanning process for bluetooth that comes out of the speaker device.
  6. When the scanning process is complete, you can search for the type or brand of the bluetooth speaker used and click on the “Next” option.
  7. Then wait until the installation process is completely finished, and a message appears “this device has been successfully added to this computer”.
  8. If the message appears, it can be ascertained that the process of connecting the bluetooth speaker that you did was successful and the speaker is ready to use.

Via Control Panel Settings

In addition to using commands via the Start Menu, you can also connect bluetooth speakers to a Windows 7 laptop through the Network and Internet Sharing settings.

Actually this one method is not much different from the previous method. But if you try this method, then here are some steps that you can follow.

  1. First you need to go into Network and Internet Sharing by right-clicking the Wifi icon, and selecting the option named Network and Internet Sharing.
  2. After that, select the Change adapter options and note whether the Bluetooth adapter is there or not.
  3. If so, the laptop you are using can be connected to a Bluetooth-based device. And if it’s not already there, then you can enable it by right-clicking the Bluetooth adapter and selecting the Enable option.
  4. Then you can turn on the bluetooth speaker that will be connected to the laptop.
  5. If you have, then you can directly open the Control Panel and select Device and Printers.
  6. In the window, just click on the Add Devices option and the bluetooth speaker device scanning process will be carried out.
  7. When the type or brand of the bluetooth speaker you are using has been detected, right-click and select the Adavance Operations option and click Connect to audio device.
  8. Finally click on the “Next” and “Finish” options.
