Free Fire Team Wins Gold and Silver, Kemenpora Expresses Appreciation
BolaSkor.com – The Free Fire and FIFA Online teams from Esports have returned to their homeland. The two teams were welcomed at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Monday (16/5) at around 23.00 WIB.
Present at the reception were Deputy III for Sport Cultivation of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) Raden Isnanta who represented Menpora Zainudin Amali, Daily Chair of PB ESI Police Commissioner General Bambang Sunarwibowo, PBESI Secretary General Frengki Ong, Deputy Secretary General of NOC Indonesia Wijaya Noeradi, and Deputy Chair of KONI Tursandi Center Alvi.
“Welcome to Indonesia, sports heroes, especially athletes who fly the Red and White and announce Indonesia Raya at the SEA Games Vietnam 2021, this is extraordinary,” Isnanta said on the Ministry of Youth and Sports website.

Indonesia previously fielded two teams in Free Fire. The first team won the gold medal, while the second won the silver.

The first team consisted of Shahin Taskhir, Richard William Manurung, Nur Ivaldi Fajar, Ibn Nasir Ramdani, Victor Innocent. While the second team was strengthened by Rhama Satria, Rafli Aidil Fitrah, Muhammad Fikri Alief Pratama, Agus Suparman, Raihan Maghfur.
Raden Isnanta also expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the struggle of the athletes, coaches and all those involved in coaching athletes, especially the PBESI federation.
“We, on behalf of the government, appreciate the efforts of the federation, which continues to oversee and guide the athletes,” he said. Isnanta asked the athletes who had not yet donated medals not to be discouraged.
Meanwhile, PBESI Daily Chair Commissioner General of Police Bambang Sunarwibowo, representing the General Chair of PB ESI General Pol (Ret.) Budi Gunawan welcomed the athletes, namely the Indonesia 1 team and the Indonesia 2 team who had brought home gold and silver medals.

“Mr. Ketum PBESI, Budi Gunawan, conveyed his welcome and congratulations on the success of the Indonesia 1 and 2 E-Sport teams, especially in the Freefire number, which has won gold and silver medals for Indonesia,” he said.
According to him, this is a matter of pride because this is the first time this achievement has been made at the SEA Games.
“This gold medal is the first time at the SEA Games. We hope that in the future we will be able to get even more leverage with the next number and still being contested at this time,” he hoped.
He added that his party will continue to make various efforts in preparing the talents of esports athletes, one of which is through the Garudaku Academy to improve achievements in various international sporting events.
“GarudaKu Academy is carried out through outreach activities in schools which will later acquire athletes and seeds from an early age. It is trained in such a way that later we hope it will increase into athletes who we acquire through the training process and carrying out match events both on a district scale, provincial, national and international levels. So that these athletes can be sustainable and measurable and get the best seeds from all Indonesian people and can compete internationally.”
