Indonesian esports fans are proud of the achievements made by the two Indonesian representative teams at the 2021 SEA Games for the Free Fire (FF) branch.

The Free Fire Indonesian esports athletes became the first esports team in history to donate medals for Indonesia at the official sporting event of the 31st SEA Games Vietnam.

The Garuda or Indonesia 1 team was crowned the champion of the 2021 SEA Games esports branch and won a Gold medal. Meanwhile, the Rajawali Team (Indonesia 2) followed in second place and won the Silver medal.

Seeing these proud achievements, PT Garena Indonesia appreciates these outstanding athletes by providing education and training allowances for athletes.

This was revealed by Hans Saleh as Country Head of Garena Indonesia through a press release received by Spin Esport, Hans congratulated and appreciated the athletes who competed and carried the name of the nation.

“We are very happy and proud of the achievements achieved by Free Fire esports athletes at the 2021 SEA Games event yesterday. By winning gold and silver medals, both teams have proven that esports athletes in Indonesia are full of potential and can excel,” said Hanz.

According to his explanation, PT Garena Indonesia will provide education and training allowances for the athletes up to Rp 1 billion.

“As an appreciation and form of Garena Indonesia’s support, we provide esports athletes with education and training allowances of up to IDR 1 billion. This support is a tangible manifestation of our commitment at Garena to participate in advancing the esports ecosystem in Indonesia,” he said.

In addition, the Indonesian Esports Executive Board (PBESI) welcomed the support from private parties such as Garena who played an active role in growing Indonesian esports, one of which was by giving appreciation for outstanding athletes.

Daily Chair of PB Esports Indonesia, Komjen. Pol. Drs Bambang Sunarwibowo, SHMHum responded to the appreciation given by Garena to the athletes.

“This appreciation given by Garena shows the attention given to esports athletes who excel. Hopefully, esports athletes can be encouraged to continue to work and excel for Indonesia in other international events,” said the Daily Chair of PB Esports Indonesia.

The gold medalists, Indonesia 1, consisted of Ibn Nasir Ramdani, Nur Ivaldi Fajar, Richard William Manurung, Shahin Taskhir, and Victor Innocent. Meanwhile, the silver medalists consisted of Agus Suparman, Muhammad Fikri Alief Pratama, Rafli Aidil Fitrah, Raihan Maghfur, and Rhama Satria.
