As one of the services provided by Google, the Google Drive feature is quite often used for the data transfer process. Unfortunately, Google provides a limit or limit on files that are often downloaded. This reason makes many people want to overcome the limits of Google Drive.

A file that is frequently visited and downloaded by many people will be restricted by Google, so the file cannot be downloaded.

Everything will be back to normal after 24 hours. So that you can still download the file, please follow the following steps:

How to Overcome Google Drive Limit

As explained above, if a file is frequently visited and downloaded by many people, access to the file will be limited and make it no longer downloadable for 24 hours. So that this limit problem can be overcome, please follow the following instructions:

1. Open the File Preview Page

The first way you can do is to visit the preview page of the file to be downloaded.

This limit problem usually occurs if the page being accessed is a download page. To be more clear, follow the steps below:

  1. Please open your browser on PC, such as Google Chrome or Mozilla.
  2. Make sure you are connected to your Google account before starting to download the file in question. You can also do this later when asked.
  3. Once you are connected to your Google account, please access Google Drive and find the file you want to download. You can also access the main Google Drive page via the following link: http://drive.google.com
  4. Please find what file you want to download. After that, right click on the file and select options Get shareable link. Later the link will be saved on the clipboard and you can paste it anytime.
  5. If you have, open New Tab in the browser and paste the link earlier in the URL column, then click Enter.
  6. You will automatically be taken to the preview page of the file you selected earlier. If the file you selected is a file from a site, they will usually share a link to that file.
  7. The thing to note is that if a site sends you to a download page the file may not be accessible. Therefore, you should turn it into a preview page.
  8. Please pay attention in the URL field. If you see the words “uc”, then you have to change it to open.
  9. After that, delete the words “&export=download”, then click Enter.
  10. Then you will successfully access the file in question on the preview page.

At first glance the download page and preview page on Google Drive do look similar. If you are on the preview page, the most characteristic feature is the presence of a Drive symbol followed by a sign (+) below it. The symbol is commonly known as Add to My Drive.

It’s just that the term is now replaced with the term shortcuts or shortcuts. This is because Google wants to make the same file not need to be added in the same storage as well, and it will seem duplicated so that the shortcut is the chosen feature.

From here you can later access the files you want and don’t have to worry about the limits imposed by Google. You just click on the symbol it will automatically open a new folder which is then ready for you to download.

3. Duplicate Files

After the file is successfully saved in My Drive, then you can duplicate the file. That’s because the file is just a shortcut. So that you can download the file, you must duplicate the file in question.

Before doing so, you should make sure that there is enough storage in Google Drive for the duplication. You can clean unused files or clean folders Trash. If so, please right click on the file and select Make a copy.

The file will later have its own quota that you can download without waiting for the quota to be reset by Google.
