Japanese VTuber Calls Social Media Users Profile Picture Anime is the Most Toxic

A new controversy took center stage in Japan, when a post went viral about a Vtuber criticizing people with anime profile pictures. Suto Emini, who is a VTuber from Japan and defines herself as a feminist on her Twitter profile.
Moreover, he went viral when he publicly criticized anime fans and allegedly exposed their toxic behavior.
The controversy began when Suto Emini replied to this tweet via his Twitter account with the following message:
“I understand it very well; the most dangerous (topic) and what is the most “hits” around here…. I don’t know where the[Otaku]self-image of “we are kind, harmless, and shy” comes from.
In my case, some people who came to comment trolls on my YouTube channel had 100% anime profiles, so I had to manually block them one by one.”

“I’ve never seen anything like this outside of the otaku community, where just by criticizing anime, you can be flooded with slander, have your personal information searched for and exposed, and even receive death threats.”
It should be noted that people with anime profile pictures are often treated differently outside of the anime community. There is a joke circulating in some communities that “the opinion of the person with the anime profile picture doesn’t matter”.
It remains to be clarified that people with extreme behavior exist in all kinds of communities, be it anime or games. Criticizing the entire anime community for the actions of some is unfair and should not be tolerated.
