Xiaomi Employees Get Shares of Up to IDR 335 Billion
Recently, Xiaomi was reported to have given 1,000 shares of the company to its employees for free. This is done as a form of celebration of the success that has been achieved. So they made it into the list Fortune 500 first time global version.
More than 2,000 employees received the prize. As Dafunda Tekno quoted from the South China Morning Post, at that time Xiaomi’s stock was at 9.11 Hong Kong dollars.
When compared with the current exchange rate, each employee can get an equal share of shares IDR 17 million. Xiaomi also revealed that the number of shares distributed reached 187.5 million Hong Kong dollars or the equivalent IDR 335 billion.
Xiaomi is in the 468th Position of the Best Companies
Currently, Xiaomi has managed to rank -468 and is listed in the Fortune Global 500. Meanwhile, in the field of internet services and retail, they are still in 7th position.
This extraordinary achievement cannot be separated from its success and seen from the bookkeeping of their income which was able to earn USD 26.4 billion or IDR 369 trillion in the last fiscal year. In addition, they are also able to earn a profit of USD 2 billion or the equivalent IDR 27 trillion in the same fiscal year.
Most importantly, Xiaomi is the youngest company to enter the 2022 edition of the Fortune Global 500. The fourth largest smartphone manufacturer in the world has turned 9 years old since it was founded in April 2010.
