WhatsApp Desktop In the Future No More Cell Phones
Currently, Whatsapp users can only use the desktop version if the phone is active. However, from the latest news, we no longer need a mobile WhatsApp account connection in the next update.
Based on WABetaInfo information, they said WhatsApp is currently developing a Universal Windows Platform (UWP) application as well as a multi-platform system that can keep WhatsApp functioning even when the user’s cellphone is not active.
If it’s true as said, in the future users will be able to chat with people in their contacts on WhatsApp Desktop without needing their cellphone.
However, there is no detailed information about when the feature will be officially implemented by WhatsApp. We’ll just have to wait, guys!
