Twitter CEO's Twitter Account Has Been Hacked Only Through SMS

Hacking activities are indeed indiscriminate, it can happen to anyone including the CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey. The twitter account belonging to the twitter CEO was successfully hacked on Friday (08/30/2022) by a hacker group claiming to be named Chuckle Squad.

Jack Dorsey’s Twitter account (@jack) was hacked only through a phone number security hole. So, the hackers stole Jack Dorsey’s phone number and exploited a security hole in the phone number.

The phone number associated with the account was compromised due to a security oversight by the mobile provider. This allowed an unauthorized person to compose and send tweets via text message from the phone number. That issue is now resolved.

This hacker managed to hack Jack Dorsey’s twitter account via an SMS platform called Cloudhopper. Cloudhopper itself is a subsidiary of Twitter after it was acquired in 2010 ago.

So, it is possible that this hacker hacked Jack Dorsey’s number on the Cloudhopper Platform. Please note, that Twitter users can send tweets only via SMS without the need for an internet network. So, it is very likely that these hackers managed to get access to Jack Dorsey’s number on the Cloudhopper platform.

During the hack, Jack Dorsey’s twitter account (@Jack) uploaded a racist and hateful (offensive) tweet. Wow, that’s funny, the CEO of Twitter, his own Twitter account can be hacked.
