The difference between Xiaomi MIUI Global ROMs, Distributors, and Developers

The presence of Xiaomi in Indonesia was enthusiastically welcomed by cellphone fans with advanced specifications but at a friendly price. We can see this from the sales of Xiaomi in Indonesia, which are very in demand and are able to compete with other brand cellphones such as Samsung, Oppo, iPhone, Sony, Huawei which first entered the market.

Entering the discussion, what are the differences between various kinds of Xiaomi MIUI ROMs such as Global ROMs, distributors, stables, and also developers. The MIUI ROM from xiaomi itself is a Custom ROM or overhaul of AOSP (Android Open Source Project). AOSP itself is a pure ROM or source from the Google company which is open source or free as is the case with Linux.

With this source, Xiaomi developers develop and create Android-based MIUI ROMs. So developers can add the desired new features, as well as improve performance and also beautify its appearance.

In addition to Xiaomi’s MIUI, there are actually other ROM types such as Color OS (Oppo), LineageOS, PAC-Man ROM, Paranoid Android, CyanogenMod etc. Back to the following discussion of the differences between distributor, global, stable and developer ROMs.

1. Distributor ROM

On fake Xiaomi ROMs or distributors, there are usually many strange applications already installed such as Clean Master, UC Browser, DU Battery Server, Babe and others. These applications are certainly very annoying because we cannot delete them because they are already installed on the ROM.

2. MIUI Developer ROM

If you like to repair xiaomi ROMs and like the new features from xiaomi which update almost every week and test it first without being preceded by others. Then this developer ROM is perfect for you to use, because the ROM developer itself receives weekly updates.

But the weakness is that there are many glitches in the update, or there are still many bugs. That is a natural thing because ROM developer is a ROM that is still being developed. If you find a bug in MIUI, then you can report it in the MIUI forum center. So the developers or developers can overcome the existing bugs, by rolling out the next update.

3. MIUI Stable ROM

The xiaomi MIUI stable ROM is perfect for those who want stability on their phones. Unlike developer ROMs, stable ROMs get slower updates. Testing is done on the ROM developer and if it is really satisfactory and the existing bugs have been resolved. Then the update for the new stable ROM is rolled out.

On MIUI stable, there are often delays in updating due to tests carried out on the developer ROM.

4. MIUI Global ROM

The MIUI Global ROM itself is a ROM that is used and marketed in various countries which is available in various languages. Global ROMs usually have various applications installed from Google such as Google Playstore, Gmail, Google Maps, Play Games etc.

5. MIUI China ROM
