Recently, WhatsApp has reported that there are security holes that malware and spies can infiltrate through voice call. The news invites the reaction of his rival, namely Telegram.

Pavel Durov as the founder of Telegram revealed that WhatsApp will never be safe. Durov expressed his opinion through a blog.

After the news about spyware which has spread, WhatsApp asks its users around the world to immediately update the application to patch security.

Reportedly, this security gap in WhatsApp is used by world actors to spy on groups such as journalists, activists and so on.

WhatsApp is never safe, says Telegram boss

News about spywarei this is not surprising anymore to me. Because last year, WhatsApp also admitted that it had the same problem on Facebook video call via WhatsApp. Hackers gain access to all user data, Durov writes

Durov also briefly quipped that every time WhatsApp fixes a security problem, new security holes still appear. Besides, he also compares it with the application made by him.

Very different from Telegram, WhatsApp opens the application open source so the researchers couldn’t tell if there was a ‘secret passage’ or backdoor in the WhatsApp code used by certain parties to tap WhatsApp users.

Durov also suggested to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the US to emphasize that WhatsApp and Facebook provide space backdoor in order to get into their security system.

Durov said it was very difficult to develop a secure communication application in the US. He said that while in the US for a week in 2022, the FBI tried to infiltrate them three times.
