Offered to be Minister, Nadiem Makarim Resigns from Gojek!
Nadiem Makarin as Gojek’s boss has now visited the palace, allegedly to be one of the ministers in President Joko Widodo’s new cabinet. In fact, he has already declared his resignation from Gojek.
“My position in Gojek has resigned, there is absolutely no more position and power whatsoever,” he told reporters at the palace.
It should be noted that Nadiem’s position at Gojek is as CEO. As a result, he is no longer in that position.
“Starting today I no longer have a position and authority in Gojek,” said Nadiem.
There is no definite news regarding the ministerial post that will be occupied by Nadiem. Nadiem asked all to wait for an official decision from President Jokowi.
When viewed from his life journey, Nadiem studied at Harvard Business School and earned an MBA in 2006. After that he started his career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company.
Then he became an entrepreneur by establishing Zalora Indonesia and serving as Managing Director.
After no longer at Zalora, Nadiem served as Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) of Kartuku, previously he focused on developing Gojek which he had built since 2011.
