Microsoft Returns to Selling Huawei Laptops in Its Online Store

Microsoft pulled all laptops made by the Chinese company from its online store after some time the US government added Huawei to its list blacklist.

Although Microsoft is still silent about whether Huawei can still get a license from the Windows operating system on its line of laptops, the device is actually being sold by Microsoft through its online store.

As Dafunda Tekno quoted from The Verge, the laptops being sold include the MateBook 13, MateBook X Pro and MateBook D.

A Microsoft spokesperson in an official statement stated that Microsoft is selling existing stock of Huawei devices at Microsoft, not new devices.

“We have evaluated and responded to all the business, technical and regulatory complexities regarding Huawei’s recent inclusion on the US Department of Commerce’s Entity List,” a Huawei spokesperson said.

So we only sell stock Huawei devices that are still available in the Microsoft Store, he continued.

In addition, Microsoft also announced that it will continue to ship updates software Windows for Huawei devices that are already sold today.
