There have been many stubborn applications that have been removed by Google from the Play Store. This stubborn application was made by a publisher named CooTek. Internet security firm says this CooTek is an intruder adware the evil BeiTaAd for existing applications.
As Dafunda Tekno quoted from 9to5Google, Lookout together with the security firm conducted an investigation of all available applications. The reason is that there have been many user reports arguing about the ads that are so prevalent in the application.
There are even some users who report that they can’t use their devices because of the high ad capacity that is displayed push. Worse yet, even though the application does not run at all.
Based on the results of a search conducted by the team of experts, they found the applications that were reported to be all published by CooTek. And All those published apps contain BeiTaAd.
After being reported by the investigation team, CooTek promised to remove adware it’s in the app. However, further investigation by BuzzFeed shows that there are still many CooTek applications that contain BeiTaAd.
Given this, Google finally stepped in to deal with the problem. Google took the decision to ban CooTek and limit no more than 200 of its apps to the Play Store.
Even though there has been a ban from Google and increased security protocols on the Google Play Store. It doesn’t hurt you to stay vigilant and be more selective in installing applications on the Google Play Store.
