The steps to overcome a laptop that is exposed to water include:
do not panic
the main thing we have to do is not to panic, because panic will only make the situation worse. So calm down and rest assured that our laptop will be fine.
Don’t Turn on the Laptop.
Never once in a while turn on your laptop that is exposed to water, especially if your battery is still installed. because this will cause a short circuit inside the laptop.
Removing the battery from the laptop:
The thing you have to do right away is check the Llaptop battery. if the laptop battery is still installed, then remove the battery from the laptop as soon as possible because if the laptop battery is still installed it can cause an electric current to occur and most likely will further damage the inside of the laptop. And you can reinstall the laptop battery after 48 hours or about 2 days after being exposed to water.
Open keyboard
after you remove the battery that is still installed, you can start opening your laptop keyboard carefully. Wipe the wet area with a cotton swab, tissue or soft cloth to remove any water.
after doing the above steps you can also wipe the wet part with a tissue, cotton or soft cloth to clean and remove puddles on the inside.
Flip the laptop
although it looks unique but this step is useful so that water does not absorb more into the laptop. take the position of the laptop tilted to the side so that the water flows through the gap.
Dry with a vacuum cleaner
The last step we can do is dry the laptop with a vacuum cleaner or if you don’t have a vacuum cleaner we can use a fan.
After you have done the steps above, you can put the battery back in and turn it on and if the methods above for your laptop still don’t turn on, you should take it to the service center to fix the damaged parts.
