Instagram Presents Anti Bully Features, Here's How to Use It!
Instagram is one of the most popular photo and video sharing social media today. Did you know yet? Instagram will present a feature called Limit (Restrict) which is useful for protecting users from negative comments on Instagram.
“Bullying is a fairly complex issue and we know that teenagers who are faced with this problem online sometimes feel reluctant to report it. The Limit feature was created to limit negative interactions on Instagram without the person knowing.” That’s what an Instagram spokesperson said in the caption.
If the Restrict feature is enabled, comments from people you have restricted will automatically only be visible to that person. You with followers and others will not be able to see the comment.
New Instagram Feature Will Be Released ‘Restrict’ To Prevent Negative Comments

If you are curious about the contents of the negative comments on Instagram, Instagram has also provided an option to view it. You do this by tapping on the option ‘View Comments‘.
Then you will have the control to approve if the comment is visible to others, delete the comment, or ignore it.
Not only about comments, this Limit feature also applies to Direct Messages (DM). When you start restricting someone on Instagram, messages sent by that person will automatically move to Message Request and when you read messages from them, there will be no ‘Seen’ as usual.
Then the people you have restricted will also not be able to see when you are active on Instagram (Active now) and cannot receive notifications for every interaction from the account that has been restricted.
Recently, Instagram has also added a new sticker on Instagram Stories called ‘Creare Don’t Hate’. Where the Instagram sticker is a form of Instagram’s invitation to work together to build and maintain the Instagram ecosystem with a positive feel and free from bullying.
How to activate the Limit feature simply by swiping to the left on negative comments. Or you can also choose the ‘Restrict’ option directly on their account profile. To change it back simply select ‘Unrestrict’.
