How to Overcome the Latest PUBG Mobile Lag in 2022
PUBG Mobile or PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is one of the most popular games since the end of 2022 until now. Initially the PUBG game was released via Steam and could only be played on PC.
But after a few months later Tencent released Mobile, Xbox One, and PS4 versions. The mobile version is made almost similar to the PC version, both in terms of building details, map shapes, and game flow.
Because the PUBG Mobile game has a fairly large size, we often experience errors such as lag, freeze, disconnect. And the problem that we will discuss here is how to overcome the lag in PUBG Mobile.
But first, we have to know what causes lag when playing PUBG Mobile both on Android and on IOS or Emulators.
- Too Many Apps
- Full RAM
- Full Internal Storage
- There are bugs in the game
- Slow connection
- Insufficient HP Specifications
Next, see how to overcome lag when playing PUBG Mobile, the graphics are broken.
1. Graphic Settings
The first way to overcome the lag is to set the graphics according to the specifications of the cellphone you are using. There is a wide selection of graphics available from Smooth to Ultra HD.
The clearer the graphics you choose, the more game lag will be, because the GPU is forced to render images with a higher number of pixels in high graphics settings than low graphics.
This causes the HP to heat up because the process is so heavy and performance will decrease. When performance decreases, the frame rate will also decrease and we will feel lag and even freeze.
If you want to get the lowest graphics settings but can still run smoothly without lag then you can do it this way.
- Download PUB Gfx+ Tool.
- Tick (Zero Lag Mode + Battery Efficient)
- Then Apply
2. Use Stable Internet Network
Lag is also affected by the internet network, to load data a smooth internet is needed. You can use wifi or a hotspot network. If you use a hotspot network, the lag will be reduced because the smartphone you are using does not need to reach the GSM signal directly, but uses another cellphone intermediary.
Then your cellphone is not too burdened because the process of getting a signal will also cause cellphone performance to decrease and heat up quickly.
3. Use a cellphone with adequate specifications
In order for the PUBG Mobile game that you play to run smoothly, adequate smartphone specifications are needed. Make sure the ram, operating system, chipset and gpu on the cellphone you are using are adequate.
If your cellphone is not adequate, I suggest not to force it, because the gameplay you get will certainly be very severe and just make you emotional. Here are the minimum cellphone specifications for playing PUBG Mobile so it doesn’t lag.
Specification | Android | IOS |
Operating system | Android 5.1.1 Lollipop | IOS 9 |

4. Choose the Right Server
In the default settings when we play the PUBG Mobile game, which is playing on the North American server. This is one of the factors that causes the game to feel heavy or lag.
Because PUBG Mobile provides a wide selection of servers around the world, the fastest server for us in Indonesia is the Asian Server. However, that does not mean that other servers are not fast, depending on the condition of the server that we can identify by color, namely green, yellow, and red.
The green color indicates that the server is stable, the yellow color indicates less stable, while the red color indicates the server is unstable or full. To change the location of the game server on PUBG Mobile, you can do it as follows.
- On the main page (Lobby)
- Click Map (Select Mode)
- Then select the server at the top right
5. Use Gaming Mode
On today’s smartphones, gaming mode features are usually available that you can use to maximize performance when playing games. But unfortunately not all cellphones have this feature.
If your cellphone is not a gaming cellphone that does not have a gaming mode feature, then you can replace it with the Game Booster application.
This application serves to maximize CPU performance to run more optimally. In addition, the game booster will also automatically close applications running in the background so that RAM will be looser.
Those are some ways or tips that I can share for you lovers of mobile games, especially PUBG Mobile.
