  1. Connect the device (laptop or cellphone) to the TP-Link modem wifi network. For example, by connecting the laptop/HP to the SSID emitted by the modem. Or for devices that have a LAN port, they can be connected using a LAN cable (usually a yellow cable with a transparent connector at the end)
  2. Next, access the modem interface by visiting the IP address of the TP-Link modem. You can use browser applications such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and so on then type 192.168.0.1 in the address bar then press Enter. If you are using HP, it will be easier if you enable Desktop View mode in your browser application settings
  3. If the above IP address is not accessible, you can try an alternative IP address such as 168.100.1 or 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. Or to be more certain, you can also re-check the label at the bottom of the modem whether or not the modem’s IP address is there.
  4. After successfully logging into the modem UI, you can login by filling in the login data that you checked earlier. The combination of fields according to the column that you can include:
  • Account: admin
  • Password: admin

or

  • Accounts: user
  • Password: user
  1. After successfully logging in, please open the Wireless tab and select Wireless Security
  2. On the tab display, please look for the words Wireless Password
  3. Fill in the new password in the column that is already available on the UI display
  4. If you think everything is appropriate, click the Apply button at the bottom of the display
  5. By clicking Apply, it means that you confirm the changes and then the laptop or HP device that you are using to connect will be disconnected
  6. You can reconnect to the wifi network by typing the new password
