How to Change Background on Google Meet (PC/Laptop only)

Google meet, which used to be called google hangout, is now preferred by many people to support video conferencing activities compared to the previously viral application, namely zoom. Zoom began to be ignored after there was a lot of news about user privacy data issues.

How to Change Background on Google Meet (PC/Laptop only)

To change the background in Google Meet, at least for now you need a third-party application called Snap Camera. For more details, please follow the steps below, friend!

Step 1: Install Snap Camera on laptop/PC

  1. Download Snap Camera via the following link: Snap Camera

  3. Wait until the download process is complete. If so, open the downloaded file and install snap camera. (Just click next, guys). When finished, click Finish.
  4. At this point, the snap camera installation is complete. We move on to the next step.

Step 2: Change Background In Google Meet

  2. If it is already open, there will be lots of background filters that you can choose from. Please first select which background you want to use in Google Meet.
  3. If you have, now you can go to Google Meet and create a new meeting or enter an existing meeting schedule.
  4. On the Google Meet screen, you can select the three-dot menu in the lower right corner.
  5. Enter menu Settings > Videos > In section camera buddy choose Snap Camera. After that click Done.
  6. Done, then your Google Meet background will follow the snap camera.

At least, for now this is the only way you can do to change the background in Google Meet. Hopefully in the future, Google will be able to update the features to change the background.
