Get to know more about JamRide Ojek Online, which already exists in Kota Baru

“Opening job opportunities to friends is a long-standing desire of mine and can help the economy (of the residents),” said one man from Penajam Paser Utara Regency, East Kalimantar, which was formerly a new city.

That sentence became a motivation for Bonda Yulianto and his wife to create a shuttle application similar to Gojek or Grab with another name, namely JamRide last April.

This is because Gojek and Grab have not entered the area they live in, namely the North Penajam Paser area.

Jamride is an acronym for Ride Sharpening. So that local people can easily remember the name. JamRide is also often read as ‘jambret’, which is an act of theft using a motorbike.

“The clock stands for Sharpening, whereas ride is a vehicle, so it becomes JamRide,” said Bondan. We look for a suitable name, and usually we use it as a jambret so that people can catch it easily.

The JamRide application itself already has several main services that are arguably no less competitive with competitors such as GoJek and Grab. Some of them are shuttle services using motorbikes (Jam-Ride) and pick-up services by car (Jam-Car).

In addition, there are also food delivery services (Jam-Food), market shopping services (Jam-Mart) to shopping services at specific stores (Jam-Shop).

All of the services that Dafunda Tekno mentioned above are already in the GoJek or Grab application. Then what is unique about JamRide compared to others?

The difference between JamRide and GoJek and Grab

As stated by Bondan, there are several special services that will be available at JamRide. In other words, a number of these services do not yet exist in the GoJek and Grab applications.

“There is a waste bank service (Jam-Trash), a village SME product service (Jam-Des), there is also a service speed boat to cross the bay of Balikpapan (Jam-Speed), there is a service advertising (Invitation, banners, brochures) basically only those in Penajam, “said Bondan.

In addition to the services mentioned above, JamRide also has a social service with the aim of helping fellow citizens under the name Jam-Care. With this service, JamRide users can donate money, clothes, and scholarships to underprivileged North Penajam Paser residents.

With a number of these services, Bondan considers this to be the advantage of the JamRide application when compared to similar competitors. So far, no one has held their services in North Penajam Paser district.

However, Bondan said that other competitors are starting to want to dominate the area where he lives.

“There has been talk about competitors, they have started to set up points at Penajam, and have recruited drivers,” said Bondan when asked about the existence of competitors in his area.

JamRide Not Afraid of Competitors

Regarding this, he is not afraid. Because he believes that JamRide is a unique service compared to competitors, such as the services mentioned above.

“So we don’t have a problem with competitors because we have prepared services that they don’t have,” he added enthusiastically.

He doesn’t even think about competitors, but the problem now is that it’s difficult to educate people about JamRide’s technology or services.

“The difficult thing is educating the public. Most residents are still confused about how to use the application,” said Bondan. There were no applications like this before, so we still have to provide education about this.

But he doesn’t expect much, he just hopes that the public will know that services like JamRide can provide convenience for the community.

“In the future, if Penajam Paser Utara becomes the capital city, surely all residents will already know that there are Grab and Gojek applications similar to JamRide, because we have provided education,” he said.

Until now, JamRide already has hundreds of partners who are domiciled in Penajam Paser Utara. The details are 57 people have become partners of Jam-Ride, about 20 people are partners of Jam-Car, and approximately 52 restaurants are partners of Jam-Food.

The JamRide service can already be used for three sub-districts in North Penajam Paser district. In the future, JamRide’s services will be even wider for several other sub-districts.
