Install the Facebook Messenger Application

Open Menu Options In Messenger App
Take a look at the circle icon with a picture of a person above just below the search box (only on Android). Or for the Messenger application on iOS, it is at the bottom right side (only on iOS).
Choose “Scret Conversation” To Start a Secret Conversation
Now you can start a secret conversation with anyone you want, by selecting the words “Secret Conversation” then selecting OK. And turn on the feature.
After this feature is turned on, you can immediately use it to start a conversation.
How To Return To Homepage
Now the way to return to the Home page, you can select the “+” icon for Android smartphones or the new messenger icon in the upper right corner for iOS smartphones.
If so, press “Write messages” for Android smartphones. Then press the lock icon in the upper right for Android smartphone devices. As for iOS, the lock logo on Android is replaced with the word “Secret” which is on the top right.
The last step, Now select the icon of the person you want to talk to. The conversation can open if you touch the lock icon and select the person you want to talk to. It’s a secret conversation you’re using.

Set Duration To Delete Secret Messages
Don’t forget to set the duration of your secret message. You can get these settings via the clock icon in the lower right corner of the conversation.
There are several duration options that you can choose from. For the fastest duration, the conversation will be deleted after 5 seconds. As for the longest option, secret conversations will be deleted after one day.
If you don’t want your secret message to be deleted automatically after a predetermined duration. You just set timer to position off. So all messages will be kept until you want to delete them manually.
According to DafundaTekno, this feature is very interesting. But the drawback is one, it cannot be transferred to another handheld device. Suppose you use Cellphone A to start a secret conversation with cellphone B. Here only cellphones A and B can access the secret conversation. You cannot continue the secret conversation using C phone or other devices.
For example, you use phone A to start a secret conversation with cellphone B. If the encryption is on, only cellphones A and B can access the conversation. You won’t be able to continue that secret conversation on phone C or any other.
