About 400 Million Facebook User Data Hacked Successfully Hacked
Facebook again has to deal with the problem of data leaks. Now, they have to deal with hacked servers that store more than 400 million mobile phone numbers of their users.
According to Tech Crunch, there were around 419 mobile numbers hacked in the world, with details of 133 million user accounts in the United States, 50 million users in Vietnam, and 18 million users in the UK.
Facebook is often hit by data leak cases

In addition to the mobile number, information such as Facebook ID, gender and location of the user also leaked into the hands of hackers. This hack is caused because the server that stores the data is not password protected, meaning that anyone can access the database freely.
Even so, Facebook claims the number of accounts affected is only around 200 million. In fact, many of them have duplicate data or obsolete data.
This Facebook data leak case is not the first. Previously, they had to get a big scandal called Cambridge Analitica 2022. The weak privacy security system on Facebook was exploited by the company to obtain user data which resulted in Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election in the United States.
The use of cellphone numbers as a security for social media accounts seems to be no longer effective. Because some time ago, Jack Dorsey’s twitter account (Twitter’s own CEO) could be hacked only with a cellphone number.
