HDD is a mechanical element, so the effects include:

- High power consumption
- Noise due to disc rotation
While SSD does not use mechanical elements, so the effects are as follows:
- Heat on SSD is not as high as HDD
- Less power consumption than HDD
- There is no noise because there is no rotation of the disc
5. Fragmentation
HDD is very good for storing large files located in adjacent blocks. But when the HDD capacity is full, the files that have been stored can be scattered, this is called fragmentation. The effect is a decrease in the performance of the HDD itself. To restore it, it is necessary to defrag. While on SSD, we don’t have to worry about the problem of fragmentation, because the data is stored on the micro chip.
6. Durability
In terms of durability, SSDs have better durability than HDDs. However, if you can take care of your HDD properly and correctly, then the HDD can last quite a long time.
7. Price
Because SSD performance is much faster than HDD, automatically the price is more expensive. For example, an SSD with a capacity of 120GB has a price in the range of 600-700 thousand, where at the same price you can buy an HDD with a capacity of 1TB.
If you have more money and are concerned with faster performance during the boot process and data transfer, there’s nothing wrong with buying an SSD for personal convenience. But if you think the HDD is still enough, that’s okay.
