How to use the NFC function on Android

How to use the NFC function on Android

On some Android phones there is a feature called NFC, or an abbreviation of Near Field Communication (Short distance communication). This little feature has a lot more uses than you might think right now.

Of course, if you’ve ever used a mobile phone with infrared functionality, the NFC functionality is almost the same. It’s just that it’s not just used for sending files. It’s about a lot of things like replacement credit cards for shopping mall payments or cell-to-cell phone sharing.

It is complicated to use for the first time. But don’t worry, because here we explain how you can use this NFC function quickly and easily.

How to use NFC on Android

Here, for example, I want to Send location coordinates from maps from the cellphone A too mobile B.. Both phones must have an NFC sensor to use them. And here are the steps.

  1. Make sure that NFC is enabled on both phones

  2. Next on the phone A, open the Maps application and highlight a location

    Highlight a place to post

  3. Now insert the two phones as shown in the following picture

Insert both phones to send the location via NFC

  4. On the phone A The map view is zoomed out and please touch to send the location

Touch on the screen to start sending

  5. After that, the location was successfully sent to the cell phone B. Please check in a moment.

    Location sent successfully via NFC

The above is just an example of sending locations from the Maps application while you can do many other things very quickly like sending contacts, files, etc.

Where are the settings for activating NFC?

Confused How To Enable The NFC Function? In fact, it can be activated from the notification panel as shown below:

Activate the NFC function using the notification panel

However, if it is not available in the notification panel, please go to settings > Connectivity and then activate in the section NFC. And don’t forget to enable Android Beam too.

Activate the NFC function in the settings

If you’ve checked the Connectivity section and the NFC feature is not available, your phone may not support this feature. To check this sensor with a mobile phone, it is highly recommended to use the NFC checker application.
