How to Unlock Random Mac on Android Phone
There’s another new feature in Android, which is Random Mac (Randomize Mac), which is useful for protecting device data from public networks. This function can be used from Android 10 and higher.
This feature is almost the same as it is in Windows 10. If you enable it, your device will connect as a device not recognized by the router. So the router never knows what type of device is currently connected.
On the other hand, by enabling Random Mac, you can get other benefits as well. Sure, Android users now no tools required or another application to make changes to the Mac address on the phone and can use this feature.
What is a Random Mac and how can it be used?
Each device has a different Mac address, which is useful as a network identity for wireless connection. And of course the router owner can know which Mac address is currently connected.
Meanwhile, Mac Random is a feature to change the Mac address differently than before. Every time it connects to a WiFi network, the device creates a new Mac address. So the router does not recognize whether the device has already been connected.
For example, there is a router that is filtering the original Mac address on your phone so that it cannot connect. With the help of this function, your phone will be freed from this filter.
How to enable Mac random function
Before starting the procedure, make sure that your mobile phone is currently in use Android version 10 or higher. To check the Android version, please go to the About phone menu in Settings.
Here are the steps to enable Random Mac on Android:
Please go to Settings.
Tap the menu link.
And tap on menu Wireless Internet access.
Turn on WiFi and choose a WiFi name to connect to.
Tap on Option MAC address type.
And choose Random Mac.
Enter the WiFi password again and establish a connection.
Now, after connecting, the Mac address on your phone will change and no longer use the original one. Some phones allow users to see the current Mac address, but some don’t provide it.
The only surefire way to find out if it’s working or not is with the help of an app like WiFi Scanner. Usually complete information about the connected device is provided. For example IP, Mac address and also salesperson Mobile. Please compare it with the original Mac address.

The Random Mac feature is designed to protect the privacy of the phone from being recognized by the router. It’s like using a VPN to connect to the internet. And you still implement the function in public WiFi networks.
