How to remove an unidentified network in Windows 7

Troubleshooting unidentified networks on Windows

A PC when there is no internet connection seems incomplete and rarely when people are using an internet connection it appears on the PC that 2 connections are connected although only one can be connected properly and besides it is called Unidentified Network that probably Not so understood by most people and viewed as a PC fault or some other virus. In fact, this is not dangerous and can be easily solved, there is no need to take it to a mechanic for this type of problem as it can be learned and used as an experience if you manage to overcome it.

Most unidentified networks will show up when the PC user uses a different adapter, for example with a VPN software. Of course, the appropriate connection driver, which is usually called TAP-Windows, is automatically installed when the software is installed. This is only used by the software to create a relationship and you don’t need to worry as it is not a virus. And sometimes when the VPN software has been closed it usually disappears, but if it still shows up after restarting the PC, it means an error and can be fixed by removing the adapter.

Removing the adapter is also very easy, no troubleshooting required from Newtwork Help as this has nothing to do with it, so all you have to do is disable connections that you are not currently using. For example, I am using Wi-Fi, so I turn it off in addition to the visible Wi-Fi that has the connection enabled. Even if it’s 2 it will still turn off. It won’t screw anything up as it allows the VPN software to regenerate so there is no error in deleting the adapter. Actually a lot of people who experience this, and here I am just sharing how to fix it for Windows 7 users. Here is the procedure.

  1. Please switch on the PC first and please click on BEGINNING and type Network and sharing center then ENTER.

  2. Then please click on the menu Change adapter settings top left. Then another page appears.

  3. Now switch on the connection by looking at the blue computer symbol. And there will definitely be a name LAN connection, please right click and click Deactivate.

  4. Sometimes the LAN connection is not just one, it can be 2 or 3. Please disable them all and look at the network. The unidentified network must have been lost.

It’s easy, isn’t it? Most of the users experience this because of the LAN connection of the drivers used by the VPN software. For this it is normal for an error to occur, but if it still does not work please check the properties of the network you are currently using and check everything in the Internet Protocol section. There are different types of errors, but most of them come from the same running connection, namely the LAN connection. The above method only disables the connection so it doesn’t stay alive. Since this unidentified network just shows No Internet Access, and every time you see it it seems like you want to get rid of it quickly. And if you try to use the VPN software again and encounter an unidentified network, please use the method above.
If the above method still does not solve the problem, you can visit this article. If you have any questions please comment. ️
