How to fix SIM card not allowed on Samsung

How to fix SIM card not allowed on Samsung

Most Android phones today are equipped with two SIM slots. In addition, the installation of the SIM card is easier without having to dismantle the battery again, so that the SIM card can be changed quickly and practically.

The problem with the SIM card is usually that it cannot be recognized. A notification usually pops up on a Samsung phone “SIM not allowedSo the number cannot be used to make or receive calls or SMS.

Such problems are more common because of the SIM card already blocked or after the expiration date. But apart from that, there are other obstacles that can cause it. And the solution is explained in this article.

Reasons why the SIM card is not allowed on Samsung phones

There are at least 4 causes that cause the notification to appear and the number cannot be used at all. The first is the result of a burned SIM card, the second is the brass of the SIM card is damaged.

The third can meanwhile be caused by damage to the SIM card slot of the cell phone. And the last one can be caused by system problems or Firmware, for example IMEI, which suddenly disappeared.

SIM not allowed solution on Samsung

The solution I am sharing here is almost like a simple experiment and aims to identify the problems you are currently facing.

1. Try a SIM card on another phone

The first thing to do is try the cellular card on another phone first. Is it fully functional? If you can, it means the problem is on the phone’s side, be it from the firmware or the SIM card slot.

But if you’ve tried it on another phone it still doesn’t work then the problem is with the cellular card.

2. Check the active period of the card

If you are using an operator-provided application, e.g. MyTelkomsel, AxisNet, and so on, please check the active period of the number on the application. And if the active period is still there, the problem is with the SIM card.

If this problem occurs, you can have a damaged SIM card repaired at the nearest network operator point of sale.

You can also contact the service Customer service according to the card used to find out the active period of the card on the number.

3. Due to the lost IMEI

Please go to the options Select, and enter *#06# the IMEI number is displayed on the phone. But when something appears, there is text zero, it means the IMEI number is missing and the cause is that this notification SIM not allowed is displayed.

To fix this, you need to reflash the phone. There are many tutorials for different types of Samsung phones that can be found on Youtube. It is highly recommended that you back up any important data stored on your phone beforehand.

4. Due to a damaged SIM card slot

For this issue, it’s difficult to independently fix it considering the problem is with the phone’s hardware. So if the phone has been reflashed but it doesn’t work, the problem is most likely with the phone’s SIM slot.

I suggest taking it to the nearest Samsung center or service provider to replace the SIM card slot. Replacement costs vary widely depending on the type of phone. Can be between 50,000 and 200,000.

The SIM not allowed notification appears on a Samsung phone for several reasons. Some minor problems can be resolved independently. I also recommend checking the active period first as users sometimes forget to top up their balance, which makes the card expire and no longer usable.
