How to Fix Android USB Not Recognized on PC

USB is not recognized on the PC

All smartphones have a special hole that can be connected to a computer, a cable that can be connected to a PC, or anything else that is used to transfer and receive files is called a USB. Most people do this compared to bluetooth because the process is very fast depending on the speed of the storage available, usually the higher the storage class, the faster the file transfer process. But apart from Bluetooth, there are now many applications that use WiFi networks to send files, and they are certainly still less fast than sending over USB, but faster than Bluetooth.

Old cell phones also had a special hole for USB, for example Nokia. There is a special hole that is similar to an old CDMA cell phone charge, and today’s phones only use the same 1 hole so it can be used for charging and USB, with the exception of the headset hole, but there is also old cell phones that combine everything. from charging, UB and headset holes., namely old Sony cell phones. There are many people who use a different USB cable just for charging with the intention of not using the factory USB cable, although it is better to use the original cable as it will fit the battery and be safe.

Knowing that there are also many power banks these days that also charge multiple cell phones in one package, does this person usually use the USB cable without knowing whether it is a USB cable or just for charging? And the answer The charging cable in the power bank can only be used for charging and cannot be sent to a PC / computer. So if you try to use a power bank charging cable on a PC, it will only be charged and there will be no notification that the USB function has been prepared.

USB cable cannot be seen from the length of the short cable sizebecause there are so many short cables that support USB, but some don’t, such as the mostly very short charging cables of the power bank. So here I want to explain how to deal with Android that is not recognized by the PC with the intention of not being able to transfer files to the SD card and internal storage. This is not a complicated problem and can still be resolved once you experience something like this. Usually, users just need to click a button on the file transfer page in the notification, but if there is no response after clicking it on the PC, it appears there is an incorrect setting on the mobile phone and to fix it please see below.

  1. Please turn on the Android phone first and connect it to the PC via USB, it is better to use the phone manufacturer’s original USB cable.

  2. In addition, once connected to a PC, a notification will automatically appear when the USB is detected Tap the button to transfer files and please click. Wait a few seconds. If the PC does not respond, try again.

  3. If it has been retried again but still not recognized, please go to arrangement and click storage

  4. In the Storage area there is a USB symbol or label named in the upper right corner USB computer connection, please click.

  5. Please tick now in this section Media device (MTP) and wait a few seconds, it will definitely be recognized.

The above method looks tricky just looking at it, but it gets easier as you practice. So basically all the user needs is Put a tick or check mark in the Media Settings (MTP) section, because if it is not activated, the PC cannot read the data in the entire memory. But there are also people who have problems when their phones can be connected to USB via PC, but only recognizes the internal storage, while the SD card is not recognized, this is a problem that can occur for 2 reasons, namely an error on the phone or the SD card itself. My advice, if you experience this, please try to connect the SD method to the card reader tool . If this is detected, it means that there is no error on the SD card. And if the fault is with the phone, you need to do a factory reset or if you change the custom ROM frequently, it may be a bug with the custom ROM you are using and will need to be replaced. If you have anything to ask, please comment.

Hopefully useful and good luck
