How to fix After Effects render size is too large

Adobe After Effects is known as the best design program yet. Especially for creating motion graphics and visual effects. There are many plugins that you can use to improve your design and the results will be satisfactory.
One thing the After Effects program doesn’t see well is the rendering size, which is quite large even though the video project is only a few seconds. For example, you render the video 10 seconds, and the resulting render size is approx. 10 GB.
It only takes 10 seconds, but imagine if you’re creating a minute-long video project it will seem inappropriately large. But don’t worry, here we are going to explain how to reduce the render size in Adobe After Effects by 90%.
Reduce the After Effects render size
In the past, in order to reduce the size of the plaster, this could be done through installation Quick time and choose the h.264 format. But now that was removed in the latest version of After Effects therefore the format option h.264 is no longer displayed due to poor compatibility.
There is an alternative way, however, and that is with the help of a program called Adobe Media Encoder. It does not come with After Effects and must be purchased from Adobe. And here’s how to use Adobe Media Encoder to render a project from After Effects.
Open the project in After Effects.
Click the tab composition and choose Add to the Adobe Media Encoder queue.
Wait for the Media Encoder program to open and later you will see the project in the Queue section.
Click on Options h.264 and wait dynamic link server connected.
Now you can adjust the quality of the video here.
To see the estimated rendering result, it is below.
So from now on, you can use Adobe Media Encoder to render After Effects projects with minimal results. And the rendering process doesn’t take long, depending on the VGA on the device.

Comparison of the rendering result sizes from After Effects and Media Encoder
As mentioned above, you can reduce the size of the rendering by up to 90%, and that’s right. The picture below is a comparison before (AVI) and after (MP4) when using the media encoder.
The duration of the video is 15 seconds, and it can be seen that with After Effects (AVI) rendering capability, the total is 2.8 GB, when using Media Encoder (MP4) the total is 17 MB. Wow what a huge difference.
Hopefully useful and good luck
